Summary

A Faith That Works: James 2:14-26

Sermon Notes:

James describes a dead faith.
James is taking a bird’s eye view of our good works, not a worm’s eye view.
James describes a demonic faith.
If the faith of demons is stronger than our faith, then we flunked the faith test.
James describes a dynamic faith.
James and Paul are not head-to-head contradicting one another, they are back-to-back facing different opponents.
We are saved by faith alone, but saving faith is never alone.
Three Concluding Prayers:
- “Jesus, evaluate my faith.”
- “Jesus, draw me to Yourself.”
- “Jesus, show me what You want me to do.”
