- the way we relate to possessions says something about the way we view God
- the way we relate to possessions says something about the way we view other people
- stealing is the result of devaluing a person and idolizing objects or wealth
- stealing reveals a lack of trust in God and scoffs at His generosity
- practice gratefulness for God's generosity towards you
- practice gratefulness for God's generosity towards others
- generosity is one of the church's greatest weapons against sin
